WWow! That's clear out in the Boonies. I just looked it up on the Map, S.E. of Sacramento.

I looked it up too, and it is close enough to possibly make the show, if the impending torrential rain does not make for a dangerous drive.

I wondered if it would be close enough for some of you. Chris, if you go, be sure to send a photo!

Found another recent comment widget (from my history friends) -- it's a little busy looking but hopefully will do the job.

Well the recent comments widget appears to be a work in progress. Here today... gone today. I'll keep trying.

What is a widget?

Chris, we also thought of going, but changed our minds after looking at the map and hearing the weather report.

Widget goes to Hollywood? I think that was big in the early sixties.

But _OUR_ Widget is a little bit of software that I manually added to the blog so that we can track current comments. For some reason, the blog itself doesn't do that on its own.

My word verification today is "Sherini." Where is she, anyway?

Rand Launer said...

Widget is a synonym for Whatchamacallit; thingamabob, thingy or dodad.
An otherwise unnamed object.

A company that produces a "widget" must have
a shipping department.
A company that provides a service does not produce "widgets" and does not ship a product.

The Comments "widget" is used metaphorically and
is not an actual widget.
.....up until the the computer age s that is.

Rand, we can always count on you to explain things clearly. I got it now.
