Jose and John

Jose already had a hit record and we just couldn't afford him, but he loved to come to our Thursday night hoots because he grooved jamming with John McEuin. He's the only guitar player I ever knew that could keep up with John's Blue Grass speed.

Bob, what was Jose's hit record at the time? Was it Light my Fire?

Sounds like he really was coming into the Paradox after playing other venues. I also remember driving out to Suzi Thompson's beach house after hours, where he would play way into the night (and tell an endless stream of bad jokes).

Both Gary and I tried to get Jose to the reunion, but he lives in Connecticut or someplace back east now. I wonder if he and Johnny have ever played together after that.

Bob and Helen, my next goal is to find Suzi Thompson! She's out there somewhere.
