They should all be like last night

We had a great one last night. Three solid, roots-oriented bands in a mutual appreciation society. The new Freight has great acoustics, a state-of-the-art Meyer sound system, perfect sightlines, and an ethic that it's all about the music. We did one of our best sets ever and were on with two acts I'd pay money to see in other circumstances. Gayle sparkled like a jewel and the rest of us locked on. Honkytonk Dreamers played a solid set of western swing with great fiddling and a singer who can channel Patsy Cline. Misisipi Rider's harmonies were exquisite, and all four singers were on fire. Nights like this keep me hooked.

Congrats on being part of such fine music making -
Wish I could've been in the front row -

Glad it went well for you. I was hoping your friend would make it back from Europe for the gig.
Side Note:
Rik,nice to hear your appreciation for the sound installation. In the years that I managed McCune Sound's So.Cal. operation, John Meyer was one of our chief engineers. He left McCune in the mid 80's to start MSLI which as you know continues on the cutting edge of sound technology.
I'm still very proud of the contributions our team made to the industry in the early years.
Great Picture and happy to hear a good time was had by all.

Just got a copy of the board mix. I was wondering what it would sound like a day later with the adrenaline levels back to normal, and I'm really pleased. The new stuff sounds good and a bit less country than what we've been doing, and the material we did off the CD sounds better than the recorded versions. My bowling night band is beginning to sound like the real deal.
