Thanks, Gary.

I'm not sure I ever met him, but looking at his site, he was a member of the Stone Ponies, whom I do remember. I hope he is doing okay.

Thanks Diane, I didn't know who he was, but they auditioned at the Paradox, they wanted more than we could pay, a big $30.00 each. All the guys had the hots for Linda.

We came very close to adding Kenny as a permanent member of the Dirt Band to replace Les Thompson. Kenny spent some time rehearsing with us in Colorado but it just didn't work out. He is truly one of the good guys in the music business and would have been a huge asset to the band.

Bad news.

Linda was the heart of the band, Bob was the brains, and Kenny was the soul. He was sooooo solid that when he played, you didn't have to, leaving you free to punctuate, and pick your shots. The best kind of team player who felt his job was to make someone else look good.
He was one of the hangers-out at the Troubadour hoots, and I remember him as being extremely supportive of me. This was at a time when I needed all the support I could get.

Helen, $90 dollars seems cheap today because it is. But to have the purchasing power of that (1967) $90 today, you'd need $583.
