John Besharian anyone?

Mary McCaslin has been in touch with Bob Lesher, who was a friend of Steve and Jackson, and who is looking for John Besharian, with some round about ties to Ted Staak in Fullerton and Santa Cruz.

Does anyone have any leads on Besharian? I wonder if Rand might know?

(If any of you do have his contact info, please send it to me privately and I'll add him to my reunion list. Speaking of which, there is a "Plan B" for reunion dates because of a conflict with a city-wide race. I'll be sending out new dates to everyone soon.)

Just talked again to the woman he's still married to, Lisa Kindred, and she hasn't heard from him in 15 years.
And I haven't seen Ted Staak since 1970. Sorry

Thanks, Rik.

Some of these old Paradoxers are just destined to remain paradoxes, I guess (even to their wives -- that's amazing!).

I believe he lives in Sacramento. I had sent a letter to him at the time of the reunion but it came back and I was unable to get another lead on him.

"IT'S ALIVE!!!", or, "Just when you thought it was safe!". Please let everyone have this address for me, johnbesharian@att.net FYI: "Mother Mumbles is still living in Marin City, by Sausalito, Ca. - I talked to her a month or three ago, and she's recorded Billy Roberts "Thoughts of California". Barry Melton is "The Public Defender for Yolo county" -go figure. I'm o.k., never does any good to complain anyway. Rik, you fellow Elder Flatulence (High class old fart), my telephone number is still 1-916-372-5653 - or try: P.O. Box 788, Bryte, Ca. 95605. Let Mary, Jennifer, John, Diane, Jack, Kathy, Penny, and everyone else know I think of them often. You too, my friend. Where's Stu Goldberg? To answer everyone's question: I walked away from music, after 20 years, because, as I put it "I got fed up with people falling over with needles in their arms, and me depending on them for work". Also, there's a line in one of Merle Haggard's early songs that goes, "But my weakness is stronger than I am", which, to me means that the day someone can't walk away from a drink, a toke, or whatever, is the day they have to. Tim Hardin was the on that did it for me. Tim Buckley, Steve Mann were two others early on, but I didn't play with them. I'll go out and play every once in a while, and I even learned how to play, but, at this age (they used to call me "Young and foolish - they just don't call me young anymore"), becoming an overnight success just seems less likely than it used to. Be well, and keep the music fires burning. It was the right time, coupled with the right place(s) that mad us all happen. Thank you all for a wonderful chance to be a part of it.

P.S.: I reposted this missive as I made a couple of errors. Also, this new to me iMac tends to ad extra spaces (without my help, of course). One again: Without the Paradox, the Mecca and the Mon ami(?), there would be no us, as we turned out. Peace.
