No, it is not a real scary topic, but it just isn't a real inspiration on any level either, for me at least. Go peddle that pile o meat elsewhere hahahahaha! Love ya Gary!

I love that photo!

Number 4: Baked Beans [and spam] on Wiener Bun. Who knew?

But how can Playing for Change scare anyone. I find that entire series of videos inspiring!

It was nice talking with you last night Gary. I always enjoy or conversations. Depending on my schedule, I am hoping I am able to see you, Susan, and Ralph when I am down there this next month. It would be nice if we all could meet for lunch or dinner.

I was referring to our two previous SPAM posts. I got to thinkng some might find Spam a little too intimidating for comment. Not sure why since Spam always spoke highley of them.

If you go to the Spam website, the Monty Python Spam game lets you lob chickens , pigs and cows with a catapult at either the French or the English. You can pick sides. Great fun when you have extra time on your hands.

I too love Playing for Change,by the way.

Well, I personally love fried spam and eggs, grew up with plenty of spam. The meaning of the word has redeveloped into another meaning, but I think I have it straight. Rand will direct me which kind they sell in the supermarket, then I'll be as smart as he is. I did wonder when we 1st got a computer what all the spam talk was about.
It is hard to think that there is a museum dedicated to just spam??? What to I expect in MN. Sorry Diane.......We don't go to MN to often, maybe like never...

I've gotten hooked on Aidell's teryaki/pineapple chicken meatballs. The damned things are addictive. Roll 'em up in a tortilla with shredded cabbage and carrots, celery, rice and a little more teryaki sauce, and you've got TODAY'S LUNCH. A little sesame pepper oil is a nice touch, too.

I am also hooked on Aidell's products. I am currently mainlining the "Habanero and Green Chile Sausages". I have never ever had a better sausage experience in my life than Aidell's, ever! F..K spam! :-)

I do love my Aidells Teryaki meatballs. But I love my SPAM fried rice even more.
Like Monty Python says:

Lovely spam, wonderful spa-a-m,
Lovely spam, wonderful S Spam,
Spa-a-a-a-a-a-a-am,
Spa-a-a-a-a-a-a-am,
SPA-A-A-A-A-A-A-AM,
SPA-A-A-A-A-A-A-AM,
LOVELY SPAM, LOVELY SPAM,
LOVELY SPAM, LOVELY SPAM,
LOVELY SPA-A-A-A-AM...
SPA-AM, SPA-AM, SPA-AM, SPA-A-A-AM!

Maybe we should move on to that special Scottish type meat called "HAGGIS", or maybe that scrumptious American stuff called "HEAD CHEESE"! hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Gary and Susan Mullen said...

Oh Yea, drooln' now. Haggis Fried Rice. YUM YUM!

Did you know you can make your own spam with
a simple recipe?
2 cups salt
1 cup grease (any kind)
1 cup sawdust (or vacuum cleaner contents).
Warm ingredients and mix together.
Pour into a shoe box, let cool till firm, and slice.
Great for sandwiches.

Actually, unlike SPAM, haggis has been illegal in the US until just this past week:

Note that to eat haggis, one also drinks wine glasses filled with whiskey. So I suppose it doesn't matter what you are eating.

Who knew that SPAM could generate so many comments at a music reunion site.

Oh wait.... that's what spam has come to mean.

Rand Launer said...

Not in all states Diane. it's a states right issue and haggis remains illegal in Nebraska, Arizona, California and several others.
As we have seen, Spam is a gateway substance that can lead to haggis and
haggis can lead to lutefisk.
Not pretty.

Chris said...

Yay! States Rights........ I like that idea.

Rand, glad to get the recipe for Spam, I'll serve it at our next reunion.
I think we are just getting a little to deep and meaningful here.
